laptop picks up weak BT signal & not full Linksys

Hi, My laptop on start up picks up a neighbours weak BT Voyger signal instead of the full power excellent strength Linksys router signal, and then I have to go through the procedure of locating my own router. Why is this so please?
Oh, the BT Voyger wireless link is unsecured, do you think I should distribute a few notes around my nearest neighbours telling them?

What have you got in the Preferred Networks list?

And a "yes" to the last question.

Zebrapec - ade.h is 100% correct on both questions. You find preferred networks from: Show all Connections then highlight your WiFi card and right click - then chose Properties and then the Wireless Network tab. Make your own router the preferred network and go to the Connection tab and select automatic connection.

It's a good idea to delete any others that creep into that list. Once done, they don't come back.
