Laptop - how to decide?

I'm in the market for a new laptop. Its for me (general use) and the kids (low level graphics games).

I've narrowed my list but how do I decide between them.

I require a 3 year warranty.

Sony VAIO VGN-FE31H

Gateway MX6635b

Rock Pegasus 665-T56

the bundled software is irrelevant to me.

All will do the job very well, I guess it is only a matter of personal preferences.

I have had 5 years good service from Rock with my old laptop. But my mobile phones are all Sony.

And for the Gateway I have a Stapples store very local.

Any thoughts anybody?

If you have no prefference out of the three, why not let the kids choose?

i like you answer and in fact I have tried that.

but it appears the only one available today (ie no lead time) would be the Rock. the Gateway is "dont't know but soon" and the Sone is 3-4 weeks!

If you want it now, choice solved?
