Laptop Hard Drive

  belvue 07:33 08 Apr 06

I recently purchased a 2nd user 30gb hitachi travelmaster 2.5" hard disk, which was working OK,but material on it was not to my liking(?) so
i decided to use Killdisk Pro Ver3.1 to sanitize it.It carried out a 3 run cleansing programme up to about 90% of the 3rd run.
I have since been unable to either F Disk it or even get my Laptop to recognise it-keeps throwing up "primary hard disk drive 0 not found"
can anyone please help me in this problem - thanks in anticipation.

Take a look in the BIOS and see if it is recognised.

Hitachi may have a low level format utility avialable for it that may help.

thanks for that Diodorus Siculus, but BIOS does not recognise Hard Disk so am unable to use any
low format utilities - maybe the hard disk has a partition that i cannot access, any ideas lads?

Sounds like you may have killed it :-(

But I'm no expert so hopefully someone else will come up with a solution.
