Hi,

Can anyone help me please with an unusual problem? I'm using win xp on a laptop and on a pc which can connect via netgear router (laptop is wireless connected and pc is cat5e connected).

Until last week all worked well across standard workgroup network environment, however every time i now try to log on to the pc (only via laptop network connections) the pc reboots. Don't know if it is getting a message to reboot or it is crashing when logon attempted and just reboots as a result.

Please help if possible as i'm baffled completely.
Thanks

On the PC Right-click on My Computer, click Properties, click the Advanced tab. Under “Startup & Recovery,” click Settings. Under “System Failure,” uncheck the box in front of “Automatically restart.”

See if you can now see an error message on the PC instead of a reboot.
