Hi, my sister has just got a new laptop for her birthday, and had previously using a seriously old one for all her casual work (stories etc), and now wants to transfer it onto the new one.

However, the old laptop has a floppy drive, a cd drive that isnt appearing, usb ports, but no internet connection to download any drivers, a phone jack, a printer connection, and a couple of card slots, with a printer card and a D-Link DFE 660 card in. I have no idea how to transfer the files. Do you?

"now wants to transfer it onto the new one"

I assume that by "it" you mean she wants to transfer her files (Word, Excel, etc) onto the new laptop.

If both laptops have USB ports why can't she copy her files onto a USB pen drive and transfer them to the new machine that way?
