Laptop for College? (Game Design Course)

Hey, how's things? I'm starting my first year in game design soon enough, and I'm looking into a laptop that suits my needs.

There's some games that I can't play on my desktop (Bioshock, Alan Wake etc.) which I'd like to play on the laptop I get. Apart from gaming, I'd like the laptop to be capable of running music- and design-related programs to full effect. Portability would also be a factor.

My budget stretches to about €1300. Right now I'm focusing on the MSI GX60 and the Asus G750JW. To be honest, I would have already decided on the Asus if it wasn't as heavy and big as some say it is.

Suggestions are welcome, and thanks in advance.
