Laptop charger

At home we use 2 laptops and one charger has ceased to function. Can we use the other charger, below are the specs:

Good One: Model FSP090 - 1ADC21
AC Input - 100-240v, 1.6a, 50-60hz
DC Output - 19v, 4.74a max (90w max)

Bad One: Model ADP-65DB REV.B
AC Input - 100-240v, 1.5a, 50-60hz
DC Output - 19v, 3.42a, (wattage not stated)

Do you think that that the good charger will be compatible.

I have a connector that will fit.

Many Thanks

Are you sure it's your charger malfunctioning ?

It could be your laptop's problem.

retep888 - tks but it is definately the charger, the green light does not come on, and the fuse in the plug is fine.

It should be fine, the faulty one is rated at apprx. 65w so the good one rated at 90w will cope with this easily. Assuming, as you say you have a suitable connector I can't see a problem but check the polarity first.

will be OK as far as voltage and power are concerned.

just check polarity of the DC jack look at the symbol
-(0- to see whether outer ring pos or innner pos if same on both adapters and the DC jack is the same size then it will work OK.
