Hi guys.

I have an Acer Aspire 9303WSMi AMD Turion64 x2 TL-52 1.6GHz, 160GB HDD, 2GB DDR2 laptop with a multi format DVD writer drive. I have used blank DVD's from the same drum of 100 blanks, many times before but now, when I put one in, it wher's for a while, then does nothing. Clicking on the 'disk Info' button in Nero, it says 'No Disk Present'

Why would this be please?????

Does the computer "see" a DVD with info on it ?
If not, the drive is probably U/S.

Yes it sees normal DVD's ok and Media Player plays the film ok ........

The blank DVDs are -R 8x and I have used them for DVD back ups and data storage ....

What next??

Dou you have a second pc or dvd recorder you could try them in. I suspect either your batch of dvd's contains some dodgy discs or your dvd drive is failing but not failed yet (as it can still read the more reflective commercial dvd's.)

If I put one of the disks into my desktop, it immidiatly comes up with 'AutoPlay' .... what do i want to do with a blank DVD.
