We currently have wireless BB on 2 computers via a router. We are about to get a laptop which we will mostly use in another location/house. Presumably we have to get the other location BB enabled; do we ask BT to do this and is there a cost? Secondly, once we are so enabled will we be able to use our current ISP etc and settings in the other location. Ought to know the answers but need advice please.

Yes the line wil need to be BB enabled by whatever ISP you choose, they will get BT to enable the line.
Depending on who yu go with there may be a setup charge although most ISPs do not charge. There of ourse will be the normal BB running cost of approx £20 per month for your BB package at that location.

Secondly, once we are so enabled will we be able to use our current ISP etc and settings in the other location.

Now thats a good question. If you talk to your current ISP they may let usyou use same accont from a different line but usually you would just set up a new account.

It is easy to have two seperate accounts on the laptop and just use the one appropriate to the location.

Thanks. Do I assume that our ISP will want to charge their monthly fee for another line or will our use at the other line be included in the current fee?

Yes
you will be paying twice, once for each location.

Ouch but thanks. How do hot spots work?

If all computers are in the same house, they can all share the same router
