Laptop battery icon

I have the same problem as menumaster (see previous post at click here).

I have tried all the settings/tips suggested by those who replied to menumaster's post - but the icon still does not appear all the time. My workaround is to open up Control Panel>Power Options>Power Options Properties and minimise other windows from time to time to check the remaining charge - not very convenient.

Do any of you have any further suggestions to resolve this problem, please....?

Thanks in advance!

Right click Taskbar, Properties. Taskbar tab, Customize button. Click on the item and select Always Show.

Sorry, I presume you've tried that :o(

Hi, this works for me, to show Icon on taskbar permanently - Go to Start>ControlPanel>PowerOptions in Power Options/Properties click on Advanced Tab and put a tick in Always show icon on the taskbar.

Basic, I know, but my icon is there all the time.

Thanks for your answers, VoG and Technotiger, but...

I have tried those fixes (many times) and they don't work for me.

Very strange!!

Any other suggestions out there...?
