Anyone know if it!

Is possible to use a laptop with the battery removed?

  Tonycablejr 13:22 13 Apr 05

yes. providing the laptop is plugged into the mains.

Tonycablejr: Thanks for your response. My daughter phoned me from uni. with this problem. The battery is dead and she has tried your suggestion (she says about 40 times) but the laptop keeps cutting out after a few seconds.

yeah my batteries knacked as well. i just run it with it plugged into the mains and haven't had a problem with it.

Unless she has lost the battery.

The solution is to put the battery back in and run it off the mains.
