Laptop access problems

Earthlink is my ISP, and I am having trouble with my wireless router. 3-5 times per week, my laptop is unable to access the network. Each time, I am forced to unplug the router and then plug back in to get wireless network working again. Desktop with ethernet connection to network never has problems. Help?!

Are there any other differing factors a twork when this happens?

- Just booted the router?

- Switched your laptop's wireless on after the OS has booted?

- Another network that becomes active in the vicinity?

Those are just some of the things that can cause this.

Try a couple of things
Turn SSID broadcast on in the router interface, see if this fixes it.
If it doesn't then try changing the wireless channel used (1,6,11 are the furthest apart from eachother)
