LAN Information Needed

  PAE 20:32 29 Apr 04

I have 2PCs 1 running XP home and the other ME. I have them connected together with a Crossover cable and an USB cable to my Broadband Modem. The XP seems to see the ME but not visa versa. I have checked both motherboards but only the XP has provision to enable/disable LAN.

I have set both PCs up using the Network Wizard.
Separate PC names but common workgroup names

Can't use Broadband from the ME but OK on XP.
Printer on ME keeps asking for a Port Pathway but gives no help on locating what it wants.

1. How do I get them talking to each other.

2. Any ideas on how to determine the pathname for the printer port. (the ME is still set up with printer drivers etc. from when it was the only PC).

3. How to get the Broadband connection working on both PCs.

I have 2 grandchildren fighting over the main PC which is why I am trying to bring the old PC back into use.
