LAN connection speed

I've a network with 9 PCs - I've just noticed one of them is connecting at 10Mbps whereas the others are connecting at 100 Mbps. I don't think this is a hardware thing, as most of the PCs were bought in batches so I would expect the network card to be simmilar to one of the ones connected at 100Mbps.

Is there a setting somewhere I've not looked which will change the connection speed to 100Mbps?

Thanks.

If you click on the click on the connection and choose properties for the card you have installed and then choose advanced this gives you the choice of which speed your card runs at choose either automode or 100 full mode

I'd looked here - it just gives 2 options uder 'link speed and duplex' 10mbps full duplex and 10mbps normal. Does this mean the card can't support 100mbps, or that i need a driver update or what??

I would suspect so

Hi

It is Compaq NC1120 Ethernet NIC
Driver date is 11/01/2000, v 5.29.4.67

I tried to update the driver over the internet but no go.

The PC is running w2k.

Look forward to your response.
