laminator question

  rins36 19:52 10 Aug 04

I can only laminate 2 or 3 pages before the wallet gets screwed up in the laminator & we have to take it apart

Surely more pages can be laminated than this

thanks in advance

Laminaters usually have a cardboard folder are you using one?

1. Switch on laminater and allow to get up to temperature

2. Put page into plastic sleeve and then sleeve into cardboard folder

3. Feed folder through rollers

4. keep eye on temp led and wait a few seconds to warm up again before feeder subsequent pages

not all laminaters allow the use of cardboard folders, as you have done this for awhile this might not be your problem.

However anyone else reading this check before use.

What thickness wallets are you using ? The thinner ones can cause problems with some laminators.

I suggest you check the rollers it sound like it is slipping at one side. If you can take them out do so and wash them there may be glue on them. Or clean with something like meths

You could also try making a new carrier out of some thin card
