Labels and works 2003

I have a excel database that I wish to use to create labels. In MS Works 2000 it was nice and simple, but I have now got works 2003 as part of the package that came with the new computer. It is a lovely easy to use package, and when I go to the labels section, there are the label templates that I want to use. Now comes the problem. When I click on the Template it opens with MS pictureit 10 as a default, and I cannot get it to do anything different. I do not want to insert a picture, just a excel field, but can I get it? No. I have tried all ways, to no avail. Is there anyone here with knowledge of MS 2003 that can put me right?

This is the only time I have never had a response to a query. Does nobody use works 2003?

Thanks for the link, I will download and give that a go. Very frustrating not to be able to use all the tools that seem to make life easier. Easier? did I just write that?
