Laaptop DVD eject button not working

Sony Vaio, Ever since I loaded Windows 7 the eject button on my laptop won't work. I can eject it OK by right clicking on the drive in Compter and selectin eject, but not with the button on the machine.
Any thoughts please

Have you been to the Sony site to see if there is a firmware update to Win 7?
If it's still a problem could be a hardware fault on the laptop. Button not working.

Sorry for the delay, thanks I will look at the Sony site.

I'm afraid I can't find anything helpfull either at Sony, or looking for Matshita drivers.
If I use Device Manager to update drivers it says they are up to date.
The machine is nearly 3 years old now (Sony Vaio VGN-AR31E) so it may well be a hardware problem.
Unless there are any other ideas I guess I will have to live with it.
