Korean email

One of the guys at work had a problem with a piece of computer kit, so he fired off an email in English to the manufactures. Anyway, he received a reply, but it was in Korean!

After I'd picked myself up off the floor laughing, I suggested he found someone among our 2,500 staff who could translate it for him.

I'm just wondering if this is normal practice for our far east friends, or were they giving a one finger salute as if to say write in our language next time mate, I wonder?

Maybe it was an automated reply from their mail sever acknowledging receipt.

Normally I'd agree, but this was a few days later, usually those automated replies are returned pretty quickly. Not being able to decipher it we can't tell.

Thanks, I'll pass that onto him.
