Just installed a home network on my old pc for the kids, runs 98. Network works fine but the 'a,d,g,j,w keys don't work. Coincidence, software fault or keyboard? Any suggestions?

Have you checked for deposits of, well, anything really - yesterday's dinner, biscuit crumbs, chewing gum etc., etc.

With some keyboards you can take the key tops off try that and see what's lurking down there.

Can you try a different keyboard? If another one is OK, you can buy new ones for not very much.
