hi, if i type anything then realize i have made a pigs ear of it, and then go to change it by putting the cursor between a word and press the space bar to push the type along, it deletes each letter in front of it..any idea why...

thanks

i assume this in on word? there is an overwrtie feature that is toggled on and off at the status bar at the bottom of word. The toggle is the text 'ovr'. when this is black it is on and grey off. When on it overwrites the next character in your document rather than adding to the document. just double click it to turn it off.

Or, alternatively, check that the Insert button on your keyboard has not been disabled.

That should be Insert key (you toggle it on/off).
