keyboard problem

can someone help me please
whenever i boot from widows xp cd my keyboard blinks and shuts down. I have to restart two or three times to make it work and when i am done with installation, my keyboard keys stops working, one day they work and the next day they don't. can someone help.
i am using p4r800-vm motherboard.

Your post gives the impression you do this CD boot up on a regular basis.

Unless you are installing the O/S, it shouldn't be necessary to boot from the Windows CD. If you do have to do this then I suggest there is something fundamentally wrong with the whole thing.

However, have you tried a different keyboard? Is it a USB keyboard? If yes, is USB enabled in the BIOS? It may be best to use a PS/2 connection as that is controlled by the BIOS without the assistance of the O/S.

thankz anyway i fixed my problem i updated my bios and everything is fine now.Thankz for ur help though
