Keyboard problem

Can anyone advise me. I've got a 2 year old HP Pavilion notebook, which has been great, and subjected to fairly light use. In the past month the outer keys (Q,W,A,S,P,L, etc) aren't responding when I use them. The fault recovers when I use the notebbok a few days later, then happens again after a few minutes. An external keyboard attached to the USB or mouse connection at the back of the notebook does work. Can my keyboard be fixed, or do all notebooks go this way?

keyboards can be repaired, not sure on costs though, your best bet is to contact HP direct (or look on their web click here)
