hi,
yesterday i started to install windows me all worked great. However when it restarted it told me i needed to provide info so my computer could be identified on a network. At this point my keybord or mouse did not work. Why is this?

It is a usb keybord
My mate tells me to use a parallell one but i dont have one.
So will a ps2 connection keybord work

Thanks
Ben

I imagine he meant PS2. Borrow a ps2 keyboard and mouse and see if it works. That was the only way I could sort father in law's pc when it wouldn't respond to the usb inputs.

USB Keyboards works only when you have installed the Windows.

As mentioned by keef66 you have to use PS2 Keyboard and mouse for installaton.

" USB Keyboards works only when you have installed the Windows. "

No.

They will work to install windows, if the bios supports it and if the option is enabled in the bios.

Thanks for correctng me but not every bois supports it. So the best bit would be PS2. I have myself gone through this problem at a time.

" Thanks for correctng me but not every bois supports it. "

Which I mentioned

" if the bios supports it and if the option is enabled in the bios. "

the statement of

" USB Keyboards works only when you have installed the Windows. "

could put some people off useing them.
