keyboard fault

I was running XP Pro but overwrote it with XP home. Now the @ sign on the keyboard doesn`t work. Anyone help?

What type of keyboard, wired/USB/wireless?

What type of PC laptop/desktop?

If you mean you get " instead of the @ then all you need to do is go into Control Panel>Regional and Language, and make sure all your Languages are set to English.
