keyboard failure on a Tiny laptop

a friend cannoy use his laptop because the keyboard is no longer 'recognised' by his laptop. The PC has not suffered damage; it worked fine and the next time he gets a 'keyboard failure' message when switching on. The Tiny is running Win98 on a Pentium 3.

Is this a software problem: might he correct the problem if he reinstalls Win98 from disc and if so will he lose the info on the hard drive?

Thanks

Geoff

Try going to device manager and click on keyboard and reinstall the driver and see what happens you don't require W98 disk for this.
