Keyboard cuts out.

A couple of month ago I puchased a Logitec wireless mouse & keyboard from a PC fair. It's been fine up to now, but it's started cutting out. I'm almost certain it's somthing to do with the battery connections inside the keyboard as I've updated all the drivers/software and the battery level is good. The repeat rate is also set to maximum, and the delay to the shortest possible.

What happend is that the keys just stop working, which is annoying half way through games and when typing. I've found that by pressing on the battery door I get the keyboard to respond again, and have put a piece of paper behind the door to put pressure on the batteries, which seems to work most of the time.

Has anyone else had a similar problem or am I a one-off? Do I have much chance of getting it replaced, and if not are there any tricks to keeping a good connection?
