Keyboard conundrum

  thedogisdead2 13:36 16 Oct 04

I have a Pakard Bell I Extreme type pc type thingy and the only way of closing the DVD drives is to push a button on the keyboard.

I'm looking at getting a wireless desktop and none seem to have this button (and I dont see why I should be forced to get one like that anyway).

How can I go about closing the drives? Can I programme a key to do this job? Or will I have to wrench the casing off the tower to expose the close button?!

Any help is much appreciated.

Doesn't the drive close if you push gently on the open drawer?

Yeah it does, but is that healthy for it? Don't wanna be breaking things!

Most wireless desktop sets have programmable buttons which you should be able to configure to perform this task,at least my Trust 305ks does.

Hope this helps.
