Diodorus Siculus is considered untrustworthy by some.

Often his reports can be compared to those of Herodotus, Strabo,
Pliny etc; and provide insights as to the original source of
the information along with some nuggets of truth which can be
excavated as textual artifacts by those willing to do their homework.


His commentaries, if they were based on fact and not fiction,
would be most interesting. He reports on Moses, Alexander,
Archimedes, The Celts, Ancient Navies, Vesuvius, (centuries before
the time of Pompei and Herculeum he calls it a fiery plain)
Thermopylae, and quite a lot more.

But for a man whoose been around since 21 BC (before computers) your doing quite well
