Avast has just identified the file KB908531.log as the trojan Win32:Delf-BCG

Now to me that looks like a harmless text file. Especially with the .log extension. Could this actually be a trojan or is it a false positive? I've deleted the file anyway

So false positive is most likely then?

If it's any help, I've had this file on the computer since April and Avast has never queried it.

I have it too - it is just a text file. It must be a false positive.

Didn't think a .log file could do any damage so I think I can rest easy!

My firewall hasn't alerted me that anything out of the ordinary is dialling home so I think i'm safe.

Thanks all!
