Can I flash the BIOS to accept an Athlon 2400/2600 and give AGP8X support for digital video editing?

  woodchip 15:57 19 Jun 04

that will not change the AGP4 to AGP8

As Woodchip says you cannot flash to upgrade to 8x AGP, click here for the ECS Bios upgrade page.

Be sure that if you do go for the upgrade processor you only get the 266Mhz version. You will find it difficult to find a 2600+ in any event

Unless you have second edition board it will only take upto a 1.4

Thanks. It looks like a new base unit as the best option.
