for an old lady we know.
It was second hand with no discs & it was a pig.
Anyway after 2 days got it all loaded with 98SE & all the software she needs for a base PC & for e-mails/browing. All fully up to date.

Question is -she gets loads of visitors who "play "with her setup, being generally weel meaning & completely muck it up.
There is no DVD/CD writer & I was wondering if I can make a back up DVD by connecting it somehow (it jas a USB post but no ethernet) to my own XP machine which has a DVD writer.

Can I back up her entire machine on a DVD & simply reload it when she has a problem (like an XP restore?) If so how do I do It?

Yes make a Image to CD with Acronis true Image, This can be put back in about ten minutes
