just bought 512mb ram but confused re bios,its showing as 333 but is 3200 400 ddr my motherboard does support this, bios says by spd,manual and high performance currently on manual,

You may be able to use only two slots to achieve 400 speed, have a look in your manual as regards memory.

What is your processor and its FSB speed? It looks to me that your FSB is determined by the processor at 333mhz. I don't think you can run the higher rated DDR at 400mhz unless your processor and motherboard are both running at 400mhz

Check your motherboard manual, you may have to alter jumpers to initiate upgrade.

Not heard of that motherboard, but if it will support ddr ram then an AMD 2400 processor will run it o.k. Still think it is a jumper problem.
If the manual is not clear on which to alter then suggest a visit to your local p.c. dealer.
