Some while ago I posted on this subject and was advised that Windows Movie Maker would do the job.
Unfortunately WMM produces wmv files which is no good to me. So is there user friendly software that will do this job?

jpeg is a Graphics format - mpeg is a Audio format, so conversion one to the other is not possible!

Technotiger got it slightly wrong.

jpeg is a graphic format for still pictures.

mpeg is a movie/video format.

But once again you can't convert jpeg to mpeg. How do you get still pictures to move?

Correct pj123, video is what I meant to say LoL ...

"How do you get still pictures to move?" Answer. Move them around...doh.
The idea is not to get the still pictures to move but to get them into a format that can be played on DVD player ie. mpeg.

You can only use Still Pictures as a Slide show, NOT MOVE. They cannot be changed to MPEG

There is a program that will appear to do as you want, without actually converting Still pictures to Movie - it will look a little bit like movie pics, and that is click here

Sorry - this is the Program I was referring to ... click here

I think a lot of DVD players do recognise Jpeg files - check your manual.

My player will not play jpeg hence the OP. If Muvee doesn't work guess I'll have to get a new player. Thanks to all for your help.
