Can some kind soul tell me how to scan a picture and save it in jpeg or gif and then work out the size in pixels?
I have tried it in Word,Publisher and Page Plus and Canoscan but, as far as I can see none support

Scan your picture and save it as jpeg or gif. If you don't have any other image program just open your jpeg or gif in Paint then go to Image, Attributes and the image information is there. If you want to be able to modify the image then you can download IrfanView which is free for personal use. click here
