Joy stick driver

My MS sidewinder pro joystick has not been recognised.
The driver is out of date and not compatible with XP, that's according to the error message I get. This is since I upgraded to I.E.7 cause it used to work on I.E.6.
I can't fine any driver updates ect. Can anyone help.

Have tried to add via add hardware and also add game controller.
Error message says game port not configured correctly.
Its coonected via USB & there's no yellow ? against anything.

Hi, I would advise you to revert to IE6.

Got rid of I.E.7.
Seems the auto detect has gone AWOL.
I tried plugging into different ports on the same usb card, they all work with other devices.
Still no joy.
I then plugged into front usb and hey presto its detected and I think it works. Give me strength.
Thanks for your help guys.
