Joliet naming convention issue...

Hey peoples!!
I am using a program called Tag & Rename to edit ID3 tags and filenames of my mp3 collection. A couple of the files were highlighted a different color and I found out that this meant that the filename was longer than the Joliet standard allows. So, I have two questions. 1. How many characters does Joliet support? And 2. What would happen if I went ahead and burned the files to CD using the Joliet standard with Nero? (without shortening the filenames.) Will Nero just take letters off the end of the file until it fits the Joliet standard?

This is pretty important to me as I am very anal about my music collection. All of my files are named a certain way, artist - album - tr.# - title.mp3 and I would like to keep it that way but...

Thanks for your time!
