Has anyone recently purchased a jenoptic 3.3 digital camera? I would be grateful for any comments please.

Jenoptik is a long established and renowned East German optical manufacturer but, if previous models are anything to go by, it merely rebrands its digital camera offerings.

Models of around two years ago from Jenoptik were actually produced by the Minton Optical Company of Taiwan - at the time they were on sale very few British retailers sold the Minton versions, but they were usually about 30 per cent cheaper than those from Jenoptik...:-)

Don't be put off as hundreds of computer related components, hardware etc are actually rebranded - no firm can manufacture everything it sells.

For instance my own Minolta Dimage E203 digital camera was also available, with slight cosmetic differences, as the Konica EZ200 - yet both companies are top Japanese film camera manufacturers.
