Are you sure you are looking at the "Windows" serial and not "Office"?

OEM Installations often have different keys on the case sticker to the one used during installation. The one on the sticker is your key. The one Keyfinder finds is the bulk key used by the OEM to install Windows on 1000's of laptops.

Matty - yes deffo Windows.

Paul - thanks. I take it the bulk OEM is a multi license key then?

When OEM manufacturers (Dell, Time, Tiny etc) build a line of PCs or laptops each one is identical. However they don't sit there and install Windows XP and the software on each PC. They build one Master PC and then "Image" the C Drive contents onto the other machines. This means they have to use one Key. This is the Bulk Key you see with KeyFinder.

I'm not sure why they also provide you with a sticker that has a different key on it but i suspect this is "your" key as it where.
