I had an email telling me and hundreds of others on the mailing list to delete the file called "jdbgm.exe" in the system folder (the icon with the teddy) i immediately replied to all saying not to do it as this file was required by windows. A number of people have deleted the file and have wrote back to me asking what will happen to their pc, can anyone explain what the file does?

Unless you are a programmer you shouldn't need it. It is only a Java Debugger. If you have already deleted it, don't worry, you will probably never need it. See VoG™ response above.
