I have been informed that this jdbg.exe is a virus not detected by software, I believe it to be a hoax, any info??

With it you are told to search your HDD for the file and delete it.

Needless to say yes it is there but;
Is this a genuine file needed in Windows, I think so but can anyone shed light oon it for me please.

It's a hoax and part of windows files. Deleting won't do any great harm unless you require a java debugger facility but best not to delete in the first place. A search on this forum will bring up numerous threads on it. Try "teddy bear" without the quotes.

Thanks just what I thought.

It's a hoax (been around for a long time!) - leave it alone!
