Javascript error message, limited functionality when browsing certain pages

Good morning everyone. I'm getting limited functionality when trying to browse certain Web pages, regardless of whether I'm using FF, IE or Chrome. I'm getting "javascript:void(0);" appearing at bottom left of my screen & buttons of the page aren't working. I did wonder if this is to do with the problems with Java recently, but can't find any threads dealing with this here on the forums. Any ideas? I'm running W7 Home Premium, and according to Belarc Advisor am fully up to date with Windows Updates. Spybot isn't showing any problems & neither is Norton. Thanks in advance.

Many thanks for the prompt replies, folks. Very much appreciated. Hopefully I can get sorted out now.

Java Update is nothing to do with Java Script Problems. Disable Java Script in the Browser Properties, then try it
