Java Updates

Can the J2SE Rubtime Enviroment Updates be removed without it giving Java Problems? as these are big files and cannot see why they should need to be on the comp if it's been upgraded why does it leave these update? rather than just updating the main program?????

Not sure what you mean but if I download a Java update and install then I go to add/remove in control panel and uninstall the previous version.

That's what I mean, I still have all the ols Java showing in Add Remove. So you say Java still works OK with the old ones removed

I agree with Rdave13. Delete all the previous versions and just leave the current one .

It's a good policy for security as some older versions can be corrupted by the ever glorious malware programers so I've read.

Can you tell me what you have for Java in Add Remove I have removed some but the oldest Download update I have is 11
