I am working with Windows 98 and I have lost the Java pop up window which some sites use for further information. I have carried out troubleshooting test which show a Java fault. I Check all the right boxes were ticked in Explorer setting and still no window. Has anyone any suggestion how to get it back. Please

Are you using the MS Java Machine or Sun Java (currently at v5.0 update 6)?

I think it is Sun Java Second edition.

The latest one should show up in your Add/Remove list as J2SE 5.0 Update 6 - if not, download the offline installation from here click here, uninstall the older version and install the download.

After a much thought I checked the selective start up, and found that when I downloaded Ashampoo from PC Disc it had installed a popup window stopper with out me knowing I have now unchecked it in start up and all is working fine.
Many thanks Skyver.
