Java packages

Am trying to reduce load on my C drive and notice that under C:\windows\java\packages.I have a total of 61 files amounting to 40mb.
Some go back to the year dot, whilst some are recent.
Is it possible to determine how many of these files are being used and which,if any,are just taking up space and disk capacity.
I have Java enabled in options.
Look forward to some useful tips on this one.
