The upgrade for my itunes and quicktime player does not install and I get an error message that there is a problem with the installation package, itunes and quicktime them selves are running without any problems. Any suggestions on how to update?

May be worth uninsall and reinstall - you won't lose your music.

I had the same problem last update. I would not worry about it, if iTunes is working fine then just ignore the update. Quite often updates are to solve bugs in the program,if you are not having problems then,as I say just ignore it. The next update will probably sort it.
