iTunes admin?

Does anyone know why you need admin rights to install iTunes? I thought you needed them only if the installation was writing to system files.

Or is it the DRM malarkey?

If your OS is XP then all software requires Admin rights to install.

recap that is not exactly true. Some programs are able to be installed using a limated account and/or a Guest account. However programs like these are extremely rare. You need aministrator rights to install iTunes, because iTunes, well almost EVERY program, has to create "registry keys". Limated accounts haven't got the correct rights to do this. Also MOST programs can be installed using a account that has "Power User" rights.
