I am not sure if this is a Forum question, but I am interested in buying a new PC but I do not have a phenomenal sum of money.
Is it possible to buy a PC for around £500?
It must have a CD RW, and Audigy sound card.
Is this too ambitious???

Very grateful for any sensible advice

Thank you all in advance.

I built my own machine for approx £300, this is comprised of ECS k7s5a mobo, 256Mb DDR Ram, Athlon 1600xp cpu, 40Gb HDD,52xCd-Rom, Full midi tower, 350PSU. I already had a Monitor, Keyboard, Scanner, Printer and Mouse. I have also
upgraded to a SoundBlaster 5.1 Sound Card.

in that case no not worth using that much of the budget on a soundblaster audigy, otherwise sure.
