ISP allowing 2 access numbers

  Cobber 14:47 04 May 05

My ISP ( allows you to nominate two access numbers.
A friend is on and they appear not to allow this.
Does anyone know of other ISPs that allow alternative numbers.

Help would be greatly appreciated

I cannot answer you question directly, but if you just want internet access from a phone that is not your registered one, look here:

No registration needed, and local rates.

Thanx anchor.
Sorry, I should have mentioned that we are both on 24 hour access to our ISPs.

When I was on dial-up, AOL allowed me to access from any telephone number. Their site also gives several alternative AOL access numbers in most areas of the world, so you only pay a local phone call charge.

Thanx stlucia
Have tended to avoid AOL like the plague in the past because, I hear, they take over your computer and are difficult to wipe.
Will reconsider.

There's lots of "love 'em or hate 'em" threads about AOL on this forum. I've read that it takes over your PC, but this hasn't happend for me, I think because I didn't permit it to "become my default browser" during installation. And, in my experience, removing it is as simple as deleting the AOL folder.

Thanx again stlucia
