ISO Files & Virtual Drives

I've been trying out several freebie Virtual Drive programs. As an exercise, I wondered if I could make an ISO (or any type of) file from my 'No-Instal-Run-From-CD-ROM' Knoppix Linux CD, then copy it to a Virtual Drive and run it from my HD.

I d/l'ed a free ISO-making prog & it seemed to work & make the ISO except that a box said c. 300kb's were missing due to a wrongly numbered sector on the CD (which works well from the CD-ROM).

It's all new to me. Has anybody and comments or advice?

Many Thanks. Cheers.
