ISO file downloa and burned to DVD

Having downloaded an ISO file of a Linux distro,burned it to DVD-R

Set the macine iintended for it to boot from DVD, nothing happened.

What did I miss?

How did you burn the file to DVD? You need to use something such as click here to burn it in a form that will be recognised as a boot-able DVD.

Ah yes. Downloaded and burned of native Win 7. Might have known Windoze would not do it.

Will use your version.

I have been used to xp burner pro, that also performed.

CD burner XP pro did it

Created a dual 'run from disk/install of Linux Mint.

Now installed on a spare machine dual booting with Ubuntu14.4
